WE RISE - FISHSLAB ART EXHIBITION

Are you a local artist and love the sea as much as we do? Then this is your time to shine! (as well as helping us to raise funds )

‘We Rise' is an exhibition curated by SOS Whitstable in memory of Whitstable artist, Norma Fryer. The theme is 'a celebration of the sea' and can be interpreted in any form.

In 2024, SOS Whitstable received an incredible donation raised in Norma's memory. Norma was instrumental in starting the Fishslab gallery, being their first volunteer, so it seems a fitting place to raise awareness through art and be inspired by our beautiful sea that we're working hard to protect.

Deadline for submissions is Friday 16 January 2026 and final selections will be made by Monday 19 January 2026. Entries submitted earlier may be selected earlier than the deadline.

You will need to submit:
• A short description of the piece – including name, size (max A1), materials used
• An image to upload of the artwork (or an example of style)
• Artist bio (100 words approx) describing the artist and their work - option to include an image
